Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that the land on which we serve our community is the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe and Neutral People. We acknowledge the enduring presence of the Indigenous People with whom we share this land today, their achievements and their contributions to our community.

We also acknowledge The Dish with One Spoon Covenant  ‐ a peace agreement of our collective responsibility to each other and the earth – that we should take only what we need,  leave enough for others, and keep the dish clean. The “dish” represents the land that is to be shared and the “spoon” represents the people with whom we share the resources in a spirit of mutual cooperation.
